Financial Impact and Cost/Benefit Considerations: Expenditure of Cooperative funds as included in the Cooperative’s 2018 Operating budget; no staff time is anticipated other than ordinary processing requirements. Contract term will be concurrent with the OSII Monarch SCADA System. The software purchase including maintenance and support for the first year is $42,686 with maintenance and support of $3,188/year thereafter.
Discussion
The Cooperative currently uses OSII’s Monarch SCADA System for the monitoring and operation of its Electric System. The logging of specific electric system activities and events is a manual entry performed by the System Operators. Epilog is an OSII software product that integrates seamlessly with Monarch and automatically performs logging of events. The purchase of the Epilog software would promote the efficient and accurate logging of system events and allow the System Operators to concentrate on the operation of the electric system.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COOPERATIVE that the Board approves the purchase of the EPILOG software with a term concurrent with the OSII Monarch SCADA System; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS that the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, is authorized to execute and take all such actions as needed to implement this resolution.
