Financial Impact and Cost/Benefit Considerations: Expenditure of Cooperative funds as included in the Cooperative's 2018 Operating budget; no staff time is anticipated other than ordinary processing requirements.
Discussion
The existing contract was solicited through the RFP process in 2015. The weather system has proven very reliable and accurate. The system gives us situational awareness well ahead of weather events that are not available through other sources.
Body
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COOPERATIVE, that the service contract for StormGEO Weather Monitoring Contract, be amended to extend the contract for an additional 5 years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, is authorized to take all such actions as needed to implement this resolution.
