Whereas, the Members, Employees, and the Board of Directors of Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc. of Johnson City, Texas, celebrate the contribution of their esteemed colleague and friend, retiring Director James Oakley; and,
Whereas, Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc. proudly serves its mission to provide safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to its Members across the Texas Hill Country; and,
Whereas, James Oakley faithfully and capably served as Director from District 5 for Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc. beginning in June 2013 and continued as a dedicated servant and voting Board Member through May 2025; and,
Whereas, James Oakley endeavored to positively shape the leadership and responsible governance of Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc., ensuring sound business practices and strong stewardship of fiscal resources resulting in the Cooperative being recognized as a groundbreaking leader in board transparency; and,
Whereas, James Oakley advocated for state-of-the art technology and facilities to provide safer buildings, facilities, and workspaces for Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc. employees to both better serve the Membership, respond to catastrophic storms, and handle unprecedented development and community growth; and,
Whereas, James Oakley strongly supported and championed the employees of Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc.; and,
Whereas, James Oakley gave generously his time, energy, and knowledge to his friends, neighbors, and fellow Members of Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc.; and,
