The Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement for maintenance support is being extended for an additional 3 years (through 2021).
The Microsoft maintenance contract extension was previously approved in 2017 for an additional 3 years (Resolution 2017-240), which extends it through 2020. The current Microsoft maintenance contract expires this year (2018). Microsoft only offers 3 year extensions. A 3 year extension starting in 2018 would extend through 2021, past the current approval period of 2020. This request is to approve the contract extension through 2021.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COOPERATIVE, that the software maintenance contract for Microsoft be amended to extend for an additional 3 years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Executive Officer is authorized to take all such action as needed to implement this resolution.
