Financial Impact and Cost/Benefit Considerations: Expenditure of Cooperative funds not to exceed $56 million. Funds are included in the Cooperative’s 2021 operational expense and capital improvement budgets, and expect to be included in the 2022 and 2023 operational expense and capital improvement budgets.
Discussion
The Board previously authorized in November 2017 various vegetation management services for a period from 2018-2020 including for distribution and transmission vegetation maintenance, easement and rights-of-way maintenance, and herbicide services. Through competitive bidding for these services completed in 2020, thirteen (13) vendors have been selected. The vegetation management master service contracts are expected to be in an aggregate amount not to exceed $56 million for a period from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2023.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COOPERATIVE, that the Cooperative approve the Vegetation Management Master Services Contracts; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, is authorized to take all such actions as needed to implement this resolution.
