Discussion

The 2022 Capital Improvement Plan Budget which includes a five-year outlook through fiscal year 2026 has been previously approved; budget estimates for vehicles/equipment for the Cooperative are included in the outlook for fiscal years 2023, 2024 and 2025.   

 

The current supply chain environment has affected the Cooperative’s ability to obtain fleet vehicles and equipment timely. To expedite receipt and management of the vehicles in the appropriate budget years, this advanced ordering process is necessary for 2023, 2024 and 2025.

 

The Fleet Department intends to begin pre-ordering vehicles/equipment at the earliest date allowed by vendors for the next three fiscal years with payment expected upon delivery of vehicles/equipment in a particular fiscal year.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COOPERATIVE, that the Board approves the advanced purchase for fleet vehicles and equipment for fiscal years 2023, 2024 and 2025; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, is authorized to take all such actions as needed to implement this resolution.
